This application is designed to help you convert FLV files into most popular video and audio formats. The list of the formats is rather long, so there are small chances for you to not to find the format supported by your computer media player or portable device. As a plus, the tool has batch converting abilities.
The program comes with an attractive and clear-cut interface that makes working with this tool a hassle-free task. It is good to know that not only FLV videos can be imported, but also F4V and SWF files. The converting process is easy to carry out by all users, regardless of their computer knowledge. The first natural step is to load the target files into the program, a procedure that can be done by browsing your computer and selecting the files meant to be converted, or, more easily, by the drag-and-drop method. Next, a new window opens up inviting you to choose the output format. Nowadays many similar tools organize the target file formats by device names, but with FLV Converter you won't have such a file types structure. Once the desired format is selected, you are able to apply a series of basic settings, such as the quality and the size of the output file. For more experienced users, advanced options are available. They refer to adjusting the audio and video bit rate, the aspect ratio, and the audio channel. In addition, you can increase or decrease the audio volume, but you can't replace the sound of a video with another one.
What's great about this tool is that it allows you to stop, pause, and resume the converting process. Still, if you close the program, the unfinished tasks will be lost. The next time you launch the app, you will see an empty input panel with nothing to resume.
As a video converter, the program is good. Since it functions without errors and provides the advanced adjusting options, I recommend you to use this utility whenever you need to convert FLV, F4V, and SWF files. The program comes with a preview option, but it is not of much help. You cannot actually play the video. You just see the image frames while you drag the progress bar's slider, which is rather annoying.
